Warehouse Associate
Location: Philadelphia, PA (On-site, 19125)
Compensation: $18 an hour
The Challenge
NuSource is not a standard, high-volume "automated" facility where the work is repetitive and robotic. We operate in the dynamic, high-variability world of apparel returns and inventory recovery.
We are currently scaling our operations through ShipHero, transitioning from manual legacy methods to a tech-forward fulfillment engine. We need a Warehouse Associate who is agile, tech-savvy, and prefers a role where critical thinking and adaptability are required every single day.
The Mission
As a team member, you are the frontline gatekeeper of our product quality and the engine of our outbound shipping. This role requires an active mindset; you aren't just moving units, you are making real-time decisions regarding brand value and inventory integrity.
- The Art of the Manual Sort: Our sorting process is hands-on and requires sharp judgment. You will assess clothing by brand, grade, and condition, determining which inventory stream an item enters. You’ll be responsible for distinguishing "First Quality" returns from secondary stock.
- WMS Execution: You will pick, pack, and fulfill individual customer orders as well as large-scale pallet shipments using ShipHero on iPads and desktops. You’ll be expected to navigate the software fluently and utilize hardware scanners with precision.
- Reverse Logistics & Data Entry: You will process incoming returns, utilizing Google Sheets and scanning systems to ensure every item is accurately documented and re-integrated into our stock.
- Inventory Integrity: You’ll conduct regular cycle counts, ensuring our digital inventory matches the physical reality of the warehouse floor.
- Dynamic Cross-Training: We value versatility. You will be cross-trained across multiple departments—from receiving and sorting to palletizing and outbound shipping—ensuring your daily workflow remains varied and engaging.
Who You Are
- Engaged & Observant: You prefer a role that keeps you mentally engaged. You have a sharp eye for detail and can spot brand nuances or subtle product damages that others might overlook.
- Technically Proficient: You are already comfortable with the logic of Warehouse Management Systems. You enjoy the intersection of physical labor and digital tracking.
- Adaptable: You thrive in an environment where priorities can shift. If a high-priority pallet arrives or shipping deadlines move up, you can pivot focus without losing accuracy.
- Quality-Focused: You understand that in the returns industry, our reputation is built on the accuracy of our grading. You take pride in "getting it right" the first time.
The Hard Requirements
- Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred to communicate effectively with our diverse team.
- WMS Experience: Prior professional experience using a Warehouse Management System (ShipHero, NetSuite, ShipStation, etc.) and RF scanners is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of a shift, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Professional Reliability: We operate a tight-knit team that relies on every member. Consistent punctuality for your shifts is non-negotiable.
Why NuSource?
This is a "ground-floor" opportunity in the circular economy. We are growing rapidly and we value team members who want to understand the "big picture" of logistics. At NuSource, you aren't just following a rigid script; you are a key player in a growing operation where your insights and efficiency directly impact our success.
