The platform had a strong foundation, but it wasn’t fully meeting the needs of store owners. It had reached a plateau, and to truly empower resale entrepreneurs, it required a bold transformation.
That vision crystallized when Jessica Rennard met with David Lukrich of Angel Rush Ventures. They quickly aligned around a single objective; building a sourcing platform entirely dedicated to supporting and empowering store owners.
Jessica’s passion for resale began long before NuSource. In 2010, she started at Career Wardrobe, a nonprofit focused on monetizing donated clothing to fund its mission. The experience sparked a deep interest in the resale industry and led her to pursue a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management. Over the years, she worked hands-on in thrift stores and consignment shops, where she saw firsthand the challenges store owners face: unclear pricing, inconsistent inventory quality, and chaotic inventory management.
In 2016, Jessica founded her own resale consulting business, helping resale operators streamline operations, refine pricing strategies, and improve inventory systems. Her leadership eventually helped scale a multi-million-dollar online resale venture.
With her extensive education, frontline experience, and relentless drive to improve sourcing, Jessica was uniquely positioned to lead this transformation laying the groundwork for NuSource, a platform truly built around the needs of store owners.
